The order of the lilies
and passivity
or a golden seal
and the mark of a prophecy
like the ways a silent
revolution finds itself among shelves
across our minds; community answers find
solemn pigeons and barking crows
waiting for the rise of a dove
or the white buffalo and its song
to prance along scripture lines
that beg for the ocean to
turn red and for the water
to become salty on this plane,
but what am I to gain
if it were not for the promise
of a chosen one
to come again?
